LKc Style gets a new Image Consultant!

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

“One should always dress for themselves, never for anyone else.”
Over the years this is the only piece of advice I’ll give without being asked. From working as a theatrical and historical costume designer on the southeast coast, from where I hail, to working in the world of luxury men’s goods and private collection clothing. Almost a decade in the business working for companies such as Bloomingdales, Kuhlman Company, and Michael Allen’s Clothiers. Three years in Portlandia now and still love everyday still seeing her through east coast eyes.
I can say I am more than thrilled to be joining Laura and the LKc Style team.

I am sincerely,
John R. Wickham

“We are thrilled to be bringing on John Wickham to the LKc Style consulting team! He has a wide breadth of experience in mens clothing styles, fitting, and tailoring. We understand not every man is looking for the woman’s touch in their clothing choices, so John will be an excellent fit to provide a variety of styling services to all of our clients. John will be working exclusively with our Portland area clients for personal shopping, closet consultation, and dating advisory services. Welcome John!”

Regis Retires, Tie Conventions, Dark Colors

Monday, January 24th, 2011

“Blue on blue. Black on black. Whatever it was, it made a fashion statement. All of a sudden, I was a guest speaker at the annual tie convention! One day, the executive producer, Michael Davies, said, ‘We can’t go with that look anymore. Every weatherman on television in every small town in America is dressing like you.’ ”

Tom Ford for H&M, World Explodes in Awesome

Friday, December 10th, 2010

One our favorite, but often out-of-reach-priced designers of suits and other spectacular man items, Tom Ford has been rumored to be in collaboration with one of our favorite often-in-reach-priced stores H&M! Swedish retailer H&M has been doing big US things lately (how else do you do it in America, we suppose) including but not limited to opening strategic stores from border to border and garnering MAJOR collaborations with top-notch, universally adored designers like Jimmy Choo, Cavalli, and Lanvin. Here’s to hoping Ford gives love not just to the lady shoppers of H&M but also to the growing number of sartorially inclined, but wallet-thinned young men in need of a few adult get-ups.

For now, Tom Ford at full price [soap starting at $18................]:
