First Snow: Are you prepared to bundle up?!

December 7, 2009 at 12:52 pm

We had the first (sticking) snow in Chicago last night…and I’m sure similar fates are being seen in the northerly states all around. Time to get out your scarves and gloves to avoid frostbite and also look devilishly handsome and prepared. Below are some unique, affordable ideas (great as holiday gifts too). You can see I’m especially enjoying the look and prices from TopMan for your manly winter needs.

Perfect timing, just decided I wouldn’t brave another midwest winter without a scarf. Once questions I would have is should a scarf match anything? I’ve got a couple in mind and was just wondering if I should be trying to match it with my jacket or hat/gloves or if it doesn’t matter.

  2. Eric–

Great questions: you should try to match your hat/gloves/scarf with similar colors together(but not necessarily the same pattern). They need not match your jacket–for example you could wear a black coat and do browns in your hat/gloves/scarf or vice-versa. If you are in a business setting more often, you might want to consider doing like-kind colors only (i.e. all browns or all blacks) for everything. Hope this helps!!
