The Switch, starring the always tabloided Jennifer Aniston and always awkwardly adorable Jason Bateman, is coming in with mixed reviews all over the media front. Mostly this movie reminded us that Fall is coming up and that every respectable man should have a seasonally appropriate overcoat (oh yeah, and to not get involved with a mommy-crazed hot chick). Remember that a fall jacket is something that you could consider spending slightly more on than your everyday shirt–you will probably wear it several times a week or more and could likely own it for several years (hopefully more if you pick a look that doesn’t scream, “look at me, I am a jacket from the Fall 2010 Collection, oooohhhh, ahhhhh–eg, pick something classic and unique). Here’s a favorite at a reasonable cost:

$150 is a great deal for a coat – I’ll have to check out Topman for that. I prefer the darker colored trenches since tan is such a bold color. Works well in California or in the spring but for the fall I love a dark brown / dark grey / dark navy trench instead.
