I was so pleased to be a part of Wicker Women this week! Photographer Jennifer Bisbing was an intelligent and sincere photographer. She sees her work more as anthropological than aesthetic. My favorite part of the photo shoot was her explanation of how people should take pictures of themselves more often because it is so telling of your own mood and how you carry yourself in general and on a daily basis. My second favorite part was her telling me to pretend I was the Queen of England and to think that I was better than everyone else and would therefore kill everyone with my smile. Scary and charming.
Proceeds from the program are being donated to a Wicker Park women’s shelter.
