LKc Style is known for working with men in any budget–but even some people can’t afford a new shirt right now. So, we wanted to shout it out that there are places for you guys too! You can find professional clothing closets in your town that can provide free clothing—do a google search in your area for the Department of Human Services, a local community college, or a non-profit clothing closet. It’s not luxury…they are used clothes, but we found a shirt from Marios…there are some gems to be had. Check out what we just found at Steps for Success in Hillsboro and Portland–vintage knit ties and a bunch of suits and blazers that a tailor could nip for you:
If you’re not pouring over men’s magazines, particularly men’s fashion magazines, I can’t blame you. First, most of the looks are absolutely ridiculous, over-the-top, non-real-people outfits AND/OR out of real-people price ranges. (If you can pull off ridiculous outfits and have lots of money…call me or go to Details Magazine…if not, keep reading and know you are normal, average, probably not taking naked pictures with hot models, and that we still love you).
Details Magazine September issue provided a “10 Ways to Modernize Your Wardrobe” spread with some actual decent suggestions, with the exception that they’re all very expensive for an average joe. Here are suggestions very similar to their article but that might fit into your budget this year. Treat yourself to a few new necessity items if your old ones are wearing thin. ***LKc Style budget: $369.22, Details Magazine Budget: $10,500.00***

Friday After Work
I was in Pittsburgh last week enjoying all things Steelcity and honestly found it difficult to feature someone for Street Smarts. Apparently the Burgh men got together and started a Lets-All-Wear-Oversized T-Shirts club…and their membership appears to be gaining numbers. Being that as it was, I was happy to find Sukanta, a recent MBA grad from Pitt, on the extraordinarily large outdoor terrace at the new HoffbrauHaus Pittsburgh.
This is a great Friday after work or weekend semi-casual outfit. He’s pulling off the brown blazer wonderfully without being too matchy with his shoes and the untucked shirt is the appropriate length (not at the belly above the belt and not at or below the bottom of the jacket).
In other news, the Hoffbrauhaus is a great place for singles on a Friday night; Pittsburgh guys take note. Just make sure to get there before the line starts out the door and be very hungry and very thirsty in order to finish anything you order from the menu:

Look at the knife for comparison!
