WHAT IT IS

A Personal Makeover is a way of starting with a clean Style slate. After an initial consultation, your stylist will provide a game plan for all your steps ahead. This will include a closet consultation (via webcam or in-person), a new wardrobe via Personal Shopping or eWardrobing, and guidance on your overall appearance including recommendations on your hair, personal hygiene products, personal training options, nutritionist options, and much, much more. Everyone’s path is different and yours can be molded by you and your stylist in order to make the best you that you can be. LKc Style will be there for you via e-mail, phone or webcam for your questions and thoughts through the whole process.

LKc Style Works with Female Clients

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

LKc Style was started to help the average guy get a leg-up in style–but we’ve recently been working with some lovely lady clients to provide all the same personal shopping and image consulting services! Gals, if you’ve been jealous of your husbands, boyfriends and sons getting all the LKc attention, call us for an appointment! Guys, if your girlfriend or wife needs just as much style assistance as you do–give her an LKc Style gift certificate (and book a closet consultation for yourself at the same time)! Check out some before and after photos below of our newest client. Here’s what she had to say about her LKc Style experience:

“I had a great experience with LKc Style! I’m not comfortable shopping for professional clothes on my own, so it was wonderful to have Laura there guiding me along and helping me pick flattering, age-appropriate, professional clothes. She helped me dramatically update my professional wardrobe and I feel much more confident in meetings and at events….It was fun and I really appreciated Laura’s ability to keep me focused on what I needed to buy. And I really liked her advice on what style of clothing worked for me.” –KS

Manly Mall Review: Washington Square Mall

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Hardly any men actually enjoy going to the mall, but sometimes it’s an inevitability. We’re trying to gain perspective on where men can go to get the best mall experience in their city. If you want a review done on a mall in your city, contact us: www.lkcstyle.com! Today, let’s briefly talk about Washington Square Mall in Portland, Oregon. For all intents and purposes, this is a mom’s mall—–not man friendly at all. This mall is the epitome of why men probably hate the mall run.

1. Location & Parking: right off of HWY-217 south of HWY 26–not far for most suburbanites; you’ll want to park on the surface lot, but there’s never room so you’ll be left in the garage which is fine if you hadn’t already spent 15 minutes in the lot.

2. Store Variety: the usuals for affordable staple items (dress pants, gray sweaters, jeans, etc) but nothing outstanding (unless you want specialty knives?!?); H&M is supposed to be opening soon which would be a home run for really affordable unique items including buttondown shirts, ties, coats, and plain t-shirts.

3. Specialty Items: Go to the Apple, Sony, or LEGO stores while your wife or girlfriend is trying on skinny jeans.

4. Get Your Gal: chocolates from Godiva Chocolatiers, a sweater from Aritzia, or a fragrance from sephora

5. Food Court: mostly pan-asian foods available here, the regular Sbarro, but no burger joint in sight.

6. Weird: If you’re SUPER bored, you can bring a friend to this mall and play chess on the chess boards that are built into the tables here.

How’d we do? Do you have more to add? Want your mall reviewed? Contact www.lkcstyle.com!

Street Smarts: Sunflower Wedding in SW Portland

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

This is Steve. He was in a wedding this weekend. I loved the crispness of the black tux against the bright sunflower. I also dig the shawl lapel.

Where Will You Be for Fashion’s Night Out?

Monday, September 6th, 2010

This Friday, September 10th is Fashion’s Night Out across the world…there’s one hosted in most major cities across America on that same night–check and see if you’re within driving distance (or a private jet ride close) by a host city!

Here’s what to expect from a man’s perspective:

1. Hot women everywhere; let’s face it…this event is woman-centric and therefore maybe a bit intimidating; but if you’re showing interest in your appearance, they’ll probably appreciate that.

2. Free stuff (appetizers, drinks, ties, AG Jeans, and in-store consultations)–who doesn’t like free stuff??

3. Learn something (that you perhaps haven’t learned from reading the LKc Style blog…); Brooks Brothers is hosting a “how to tie your tie or bowtie” mini-workshop during the Portland Fashion’s Night Out!

So, put on your comfortable walking shoes (but not white dad sneakers), stroll through your city and take in the women, the drinks, and maybe some cuff links too.

If you want a personal image consulting tour of Portland’s Fashion’s Night Out with Laura Knepper of LKc Style, please e-mail Laura at laura.knepper@lkcstyle.com. We’ll give you one hour free if you mention this blog post!
